PTA Parent Training
“Help! My Daughter’s Being Bullied” will be presented on December 1, 9:00 a.m., in the Distance Learning Lab (adjacent to the library). The workshop will help parents understand the dynamics of bullying behavior and help them develop skills to respond to their daughter involved in a bullying situation.

Teen alcohol use kills 6,000 young people each year, more than all other illegal drugs combined. So, in an effort to curb underage drinking among America’s youth, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) created the Power of Parents, It’s Your Influence™ program to help parents have the sometimes difficult, but potentially life-saving, conversation about alcohol with their kids.…

Thanksgiving Break

Food and Coat DRIVE–Last Day!
Monday, November 21 is the last day to donate healthy, non-perishable food items and new/gently worn coats. Thanks so much if you have already given!

Theater News
The O. Henry Mustang Players participated in the AISD One Act Play festival last week. The following students received medals:

Come see the play, Cliques and Cafeterias, on Monday, Nov. 21, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., in the cafeteria. The admission will be free but donations are appreciated to help with the expenses.

6th grade public service videos for Food and Coat Drive


Sixth grade World Cultures students created two public service videos under the direction of Mr. McNally in support of the ongoing Coat and Food Drive they are sponsoring with by the  National Junior Honor Society. To view these creative videos just click on the images below.

Don’t forget this is the final week of the Food and Coat Drive. We need your help in collecting healthy, non-perishable food items and new or gently worn coats. 

To help ensure that we meet our campus goal of 4 food items and 1 coat per student, some of our 6th graders will be posted at the front of the school from 7:45 AM to 8:00 AM on Friday and Monday to accept your donations.
