Save Our Teachers II Update

We hit $50,000 this weekend! For those of you who have donated, thank you so much!

Since we reached $50K, a very generous family foundation has committed to contributing another $50K. Thank you so much!

With the golf tournament earnings, our total donations will exceed $120,000. This is outstanding!

O. Henry E-News: Week of May 28

The time has come to wrap up the school year! A handful of students gave us a run for our money last week (threats of food fights, water balloons, etc.), but like I tell our faculty and staff each year, “We always have plenty of aces left in our hand.” The food fights didn’t happen and only a handful of water balloons were thrown. The students are so excited for summer vacation and some of them get a little carried away. But we expect this of early adolescents. They are full of exuberance!

Gilbert Tuhabonye visits O. Henry


On May 23rd O. Henry sixth grade students were treated to an inspirational presentation by Gilbert Tuhabonye, champion runner, coach, genocide survivor, and philanthropist.

Under the direction of their teachers Mr. Patrick McNally and Mr. Duane Devereaux, 6th grade World Cultures students partnered with local non-profits A Legacy of Giving and The Gazelle Foundation to raise funds and participate with 31 other schools in the Walk for the Water event on April 28. O. Henry students raised $7,465.96 towards creation of a clean water system in Burundi, Africa, placing first among all participating schools.
